Curdridge Parish Council Wins Excellence in Community Engagement Award

We’re delighted to share that Curdridge Parish Council has won the Excellence in Community Engagement Award at this year’s Hampshire Association of Local Councils Awards.

This award recognises the steps we’ve taken to strengthen how we connect with our community, ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to stay informed and get involved in shaping the future of our parish.

Over the past year, we’ve launched a new, accessible Parish Council website, improved our social media communication, and continued to reach every household through printed newsletters and hand-delivered postcards. A key highlight has been our Neighbourhood Plan project, which has enabled residents to play an active role in developing the Village Design Code – a vital part of shaping how Curdridge and Curbridge will evolve in the years ahead.

A message from our Chair:

“We are delighted to have received this award for Excellence in Community Engagement. It recognises the genuine effort our Council has made to listen to residents and make sure everyone has the chance to be part of shaping Curdridge’s future.

I’d like to thank the many residents and volunteers who have given their time and ideas to this process. This award is truly a community achievement.”

— Jonathan Carkeet, Chair of Curdridge Parish Council

We’d like to thank all our councillors and residents who have contributed their time, ideas, and enthusiasm. This award is a shared success for our whole community.
