As part of the annual Planned Maintenance programme, Hampshire Highways will be undertaking drainage works on A334 Botley Road between B3354 Winchester Street and B2177 Winchester Road.

The works are programmed to start Tuesday 3 September 2024 and are expected to last for up to two weeks. During this time, the road will remain open with temporary traffic management in operation to protect the workforce. The work will be carried out at night between 19:00 – 07:00 hours.

Local access will be maintained for residents and commercial premises where possible. The road will be open as usual during the day and at weekends.

Whilst there is an allowance within the time periods shown above for delays, there may be times when the works are postponed at short notice; due to the availability of material required for these works and/or based on the latest weather forecasts, this can occur just prior to works commencing. We will always look to provide up to date information wherever we can, but sometimes these last-minute decisions can be difficult to relay to the travelling public in a timely manner. When we can, any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits.
