Co-Opted School Governor for Curdridge Primary School (CPS)
Due to a Governor moving away from Curdridge we have a vacancy on the School Governing Body Committee for a Co Opted Governor.
We, the committee, would ideally like to appoint someone for the becoming of the Autumn term at the beginning of September.
As you may be aware, CPS is a lovely Village primary school, housed in a mid Victorian building just behind the Church. In July 2022, it was inspected by OFSTED and was judged to be ‘Good’.
In our role as governors, we do not run or operate the School on a day-to-day basis but we set the strategic direction and the vision in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team. In addition, we hold the Headteacher to account to meet these objectives and oversee the school finances and funds ensuring that they are appropriately and well spent. As a governor you will have a palpable role in helping to ensure the continual improvement of this school.
It is a very satisfying role but needs the commitment of time and energy.
